Visa requirements

There is the visa free travel to Ukraine from the first of July, 2005 and transit for the Americans, if the term of their stay in Ukraine is not more than 90 days. Before it the visa free travel was set for the Americans, if they visit Ukraine during six months from the date of previous entrance to Ukraine and they stay here no more than 90 days. There is the visa free travel to Ukraine from the first of September, 2005 and transit for the citizens of European Union, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, if the term of their stay in Ukraine is not more than 90 days. There is the visa free travel to Ukraine from the first of August, 2005 and transit for the Japaneses and Canadiens. If you are the Russian or Byelorussian, you can enter to Ukraine with civil passport without visa registration. The Russians can stay in Ukraine no more than 90 days, it is not needed to be registered at the place of arrival. The citizens of other countries must have a foreign passport in order to enter to Ukraine. However it is not necessary to obtain a visa. The citizens of Turkey must obtain a visa to enter to Ukraine. There is the visa free travel to Ukraine for the citizens of European Union, Swiss Confederation and Liechtenstein’s Principality, which enter to Ukraine with the purpose of employment, permanent residence, reunion with family, study, work in diplomatic establishments and embassy in Ukraine; with other purpose, if they stay in Ukraine more than 90 days.
